Hey-hey everyone! I hope your semester is going real great :) HP has been up to big things here lately. We have events relatively thought out until February (woot woot!!!) and we are still in the planning stages of events coming up. More and more each week, it seems that John, myself, and our ~over-the-top, lovely, contributing~ committee members are coming up with some really awesome ideas and we cannot wait to execute them for all of campus! Here’s a photo from our last event: A Time for PEACC.
Speaking of our next event!!! “Love the Hungry” is an event that helps us understand food inequity and the importance of nourishment, as well as how poverty can affect the world around us. I attended the event last year as a committee member and truly felt its’ impact (even though we shipped the meals we packaged across seas) it was an amazing way to volunteer with fresh faces and do some good in the world! 11/28, Red Barn, 6-8 PM-- be there. There’s enough ugly in the world, and we could all use a little sunshine. :) Have an awesome month, everyone, and contact myself or John Rhodes (the fearless HP Director) if you have any questions/concerns <3 mallory.mitchell@uoflelsb.org john.rhodes@uoflelsb.org Committee Meeting Info: ELSB office (Student Involvement Office, 3rd floor of SAC) 5-6 PM Bi-Weekly, Thursdays (next meeting is 11/22)
