New Year, New Service
Hey there everyone! Human Prosperity is so glad to get back in the swing of things with you all!! To start off the semester, we (with the help of our awesome committee) put on the “Help Humans Prosper” Blood Drive in the Red Barn! It went well, and we always love to see the shining faces of the UofL community! #gocards
What’s On the Horizon…
Next up, HP and the Human Prosperity Freshman Lead ESP (empower and serve projects) group is presenting some interesting, and sadly, often overlooked information about the Appalachian region of the country. This will all be facilitated through ELSB’s very own VoteEverywhere program! Thanks to the brilliant Brittany Greenwell and Clara Wilson, Minds at Work is an awesome event here on campus that showcases different RSO’s (as well as different ELSB committees/programs) points of interests, and allows college students to become aware of pertinent issues, and in turn, how to facilitate that knowledge. We are so excited for another year!
What an impactful day that was! MLK’s Day of Service is one of my favorite days of the year! Since I was too in the moment to take any real pictures of service, hopefully these inspiring quotes from the King himself can remind us what it means to do good work for others.
As I leave this blog post, I want to thank everyone so far for an awesome 1st semester, and hope excited John and I are for this next one! #gocards #cantstopwontstop
